How to Link Aadhaar with Airtel Number
Link Airtel number with Aadhaar via IVR
- The customer has to dial the toll-free number 14546 from the Airtel SIM number that he/she wants to link with Aadhaar.
- The Interactive Voice Services will then ask the customer to provide the Unique Identification Number (UIN) by using the dialer keypad.
- After the customer provides his/her Aadhaar number, Airtel will verify with the UIDAI data to check if the mobile number is linked with Aadhaar.
- Once the verification is complete, Airtel will send an OTP (One-Time Password) to the customer’s phone number.
- After the customer has entered the correct OTP, Airtel will ask him/her to mention the total number of alternate SIM cards under his/her name and provide each of the SIM number (if any).
- Once completed, an IVR message will confirm the successful completion of the process.
- Airtel will send a message to the customer’s number after 24 hours in case he/she wants to change or update the details provided. The verification is confirmed if the customer does not reply to the message within 3 days.
Link Airtel Number with Aadhar via Offline
Step 1: Visit the nearest Airtel retail store in your locality
Step 2: Approach the Airtel executive, to link your mobile number with Aadhaar number
Step 3: Provide the store representative the valid Airtel mobile number and Aadhaar card details, so that the executive can enter the Airtel mobile number in biometric fingerprint Aadhar verification machine
Step 4: You will receive a one-time password (OTP) on the Airtel number, submit it to the store representative
Step 5: Next, the Airtel representative will do his own fingerprint verification
Step 6: The Airtel representative will then ask you to verify your Airtel SIM with your 12-digit unique identification number and fingerprint
Step 7: Enter your husband’s name/father’s name and number of corrections you are making
Step 8: Confirm all the details entered by an Airtel executive, as any error can prolong the linking process
Step 9: Once the process is complete, you will receive a final confirmation SMS on your phone number
Though many subscribers aspire to link Aadhaar and Airtel number online, but as of now, there is no such method available. You can, however, upgrade your Aadhaar information online by visiting UIDAI’s official website.
Documents Needed To Link Airtel Number with Aadhaar Card
- A copy of the Aadhaar card
- Active Airtel SIM card to receive the OTP
- In addition to the documents, the Airtel executive will also need fingerprint for verification
