How can I earn reward points under the HDFC Rewards Programme?

You can earn points on your credit card by paying for your purchases or bills with the card. Every time you swipe your card, reward points will be credited to your rewards account. Depending on the type of card you hold, you can earn welcome points or welcome miles. On swiping your card for the first time within 90 days, HDFC rewards cardholders of select cards with a bundle of reward points. Spending a set amount of money in a year on your credit card will also attract reward points.

How to redeem HDFC Credit Card reward points?

To redeem your HDFC Reward Points, you need to have accumulated at least 500 points.

HDFC Bank provides multiple ways of redemption for reward points. Credit cardholders can redeem their points according to their convenience using any of the 4 methods offered.

  1. Online:
    1. Login to your net banking account on the HDFC Bank website: http://www.hdfcbank.com.
    2. Click on “Credit Cards”.
    3. If you haven’t already registered your credit card, you will need to do this. Click on “register new card” which can be found on the side navigation bar.
    4. After you have registered your card, click on “Redeem Reward Points”.
    5. Select your credit card and click on “Continue”.
    6. You will be directed to the online redemption portal where you can click on “Redeem Reward Points”.
    7. Select the “Points Range” and your “Item Category”.
    8. Choose the items you like and add them to your Shopping Cart.
    9. Once you have finished shopping, click on “View Shopping Cart”.
    10. On the Shopping Cart page, you can edit your items and the quantity.
    11. Read the Terms and Conditions and check the box to confirm you have read it and accept it.
    12. Your contact details and address will be displayed, and the items will be delivered to this address.
    13. Click on “Redeem” to complete the process. A Redemption Order Number will be displayed, please note it down.
    14. In case you find any discrepancies, don’t proceed with the redemption and instead call the customer care service.
  2. Customer Service: Call the HDFC Credit Card Customer Care lines to redeem your points. The representative will walk you through the process and options for redemption.
  3. Through Post: Download the Rewards Redemption Form online. Fill it up and mail it to HDFC Bank Credit Card Customer Care address to get your rewards.
  4. Points + Pay (FasTrac Items)You can redeem your points as a discount on products you can buy from the Rewards Catalogue. Use the points to pay for a part of the purchase and the balance will be charged to your credit card. This option can be used only on a select product range available in the Rewards Catalogue. You can redeem your points only through the Redemption Form.

    Corporate Airmiles Redemption:

    For HDFC Corporate Credit Cards, the redemption rates are different. It will take a period of 7 to 10 days for the airline to confirm the conversion to air miles. For the e-vouchers, you will need to call the respective airline for bookings.
