The ‘in-progress’ status indicates that the bank has received your application and is still reviewing it.
If the bank finds any issue with your application such as missing details or documentation, it may keep your application on-hold. In such cases, you’re likely to receive a call from the bank for further clarification. In case, you haven’t received any response for a week days, call BOB customer care to know the reason for the same.
An ‘Approved’ status indicates your application has been processed successfully and your card is awaiting printing and dispatch.
Once the card is dispatched, typically through a speed-post or courier, you will see the status as ‘Dispatched’. You will also receive a message about the dispatch details. With those details, you can also check how far your card has travelled. Under the ‘Customer Corner’, there is another option called, ‘Track Dispatch Detail’, using which you can track the status of your speed post/courier. You need to enter AWB number to know the status.
In case, you are not eligible for the credit card as per the bank’s norms, your application will get rejected and you will see the same as the status. Once your credit card application is rejected, you need to wait 3-6 months to re-apply again. It’s always better to call the customer care and check the reason for rejection, so that you can be little cautious while applying it next time.
You will receive the ‘no records found’ option, if the details entered by you are incorrect or when the bank didn’t receive your application yet. Re-enter your details with correct information and also make sure to check the status a week after submitting your application allowing the bank to update the details.
If you don’t have internet access, you can use the offline channels to check the status of your credit card application.
